Hand building - Beginners

Level 1- Hand building Class
(Teens &  Adults)

Starting  Wednesday June 5th,  evenings @ 6:30 - 9:30pm  ~   6 Sessions - Only 8 seats available.       

  We will explore the following techniques of hand building: pinch pots, coil pots, slab building, slump and hump molds. Consists of 3 hr sessions. We will post sample pictures on our clay buddies face book group. The above pictures  are samples of slab work, leaf embossed trays and Boat platters.   You'll make approximately 5 to 8 pieces of pottery.    All our pottery is dishwasher, oven and microwave safe.  No lead glazes are used.

This class is recommended for beginners or those with little experience.

Note:  You will be invited via our face book clay buddies group, to an optional glaze session when your green ware has been air dried and bisque fired. This can be approximately 2 to 3 weeks after your last class.    Otherwise, choose to have the instructor glaze all your wares with your choice of glazes.
The instructor inspects all wares, loads, fires and unloads your finished pieces from the kiln for the bisque and glaze firings.    

You will be notified via our Face Book Clay Buddies group when your wares are ready for pick up.

     Cancelling  7 to 14 days before class begins, receive your refund minus 10% administration fee or receive full credit for the next class.  Cancelling 7 days or less you'll receive credit to enroll in another class.

Cost: Hand building for beginners is $285.00 plus tax.                Inquire about our two payment installments.
